What We Are Looking For
The Director of Hispanic Initiatives, which will be a three-year appointment in the first instance, will be housed at Truett San Antonio with site director Dr. Joe Rangel. The primary purpose of this position, in concert with the "Baylor in Latin America Initiative," will be to increase Truett Seminary's engagement with Hispanic ministers and ministries through programming and presence.
A master's degree and seven years of relevant work experience is required. A doctoral degree and 10+ years of relevant work experience is preferred.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States.
What You Will Do
- Develop, implement, and supervise a Certificate Program in Spanish (in concert and consultation with Drs. David Tate and Jack Bodenhamer).
- Develop, implement, and supervise a Doctor of Ministry Program in Spanish (in concert and consultation with Drs. Preben Vang and Bryan DeVries).
- Cultivate relationships and partnerships with Hispanic conventions, congregations, and influencers both within and beyond Texas (in concert and consultation with Dr. Joe Rangel).
- Comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular work hours, and be proactive in establishing and expanding this strategic initiative.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Truett's identity, mission, and vision.
