A. POSITION PURPOSE

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration, The Director of Assessment, Accreditation, Analytics and Planning at the Leavey School of Business will oversee a broad range of responsibilities including accreditation, assessment, data analytics, and course planning. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity of data and effectiveness of institutional practices related to strategic planning, accreditation, policy formulation, and academic programming.

B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accreditation Management:
  • Ensure compliance with institutional and specialized accreditation requirements, including AACSB standards.
  • Maintain the Leavey School of Business accreditation schedule, preparing for accreditation reviews and site visits.
  • Act as the primary liaison and subject matter expert for curriculum maintenance and accreditation, interacting with relevant accreditation staff and managing curriculum and articulation document submissions.
  • Oversee and support the development and maintenance of curricular documents and compliance with accreditation guidelines.


Assessment and Data Analytics:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive institutional assessment framework for evaluating academic and administrative effectiveness.
  • Design, conduct, and analyze surveys and other evaluation instruments to measure student learning outcomes, program effectiveness, and institutional performance.
  • Prepare high-impact assessment reports and dashboards to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the operations and maintenance of assessment-related software and data systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security.


Academic Planning and Curriculum Management:
  • Facilitate the internal and external curriculum approval processes and coordinate the annual catalog.
  • Manage the scheduling process, including course master file updates, prerequisite entries, section data updates, and classroom assignments.
  • Provide training sessions for faculty and staff on curriculum management systems and ensure compliance with rules and policies.
  • Conduct audits and generate reports related to curriculum to ensure adherence to academic and institutional standards.


Collaboration and Representation:
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders, faculty, and staff to support and enhance institutional effectiveness and decision-making.
  • Represent the Leavey School of Business at national and regional conferences, workshops, and professional organizations related to institutional effectiveness and accreditation.
  • Represent Leavey on the SCU University Assessment Committee
  • Work collaboratively with the Dean, the Chair of the ULT, the Chair of the GPC, and other key faculty and staff in the Leavey School to manage all aspects of the assessment of its undergraduate and graduate curricular Program Learning Goals and Objectives.
  • Partner with the leadership team to support university-wide initiatives and inform strategic planning, operational planning, and resource allocation.
  • Build and foster a culture of evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement across the institution.

D. QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Extensive experience in institutional research, assessment, and accreditation within higher education.
  • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Docs, and Sheets) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau).
  • Expertise in system-level relational databases and data extraction with SQL; familiarity with data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience with statistical computing languages (e.g., R, Python).
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and supervise curriculum assessment programs.
  • Strong skills in program development, assessment, and coordination.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience within and outside a university setting.
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and/or Experience
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Higher Education Administration, Data Analytics, Business Administration).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
