Job Description:
The Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to -day management and development of public health-related programming, evaluation, and communications for the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion and Population Health. This is a dynamic position that requires an individual to view public health programing from various lenses. The Assistant Director will oversee all aspects of the National Healthy Monday program (an initiative that promotes sustainable health behavior change), including program curation, evaluation, and digital communications; oversee communications staff and undergraduate student interns; seek external funding related to program evaluation and implementation; teach courses and conduct presentations related to health promotion and program evaluation; and assist with Center administrative tasks as needed.
This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.

Responsibilities:

Seek external funding related to program evaluation; lead data collection, analysis, and evaluation of the Lerner Center's health promotion programs.
Provide methodological expertise and project management for program evaluation activities within the Center.
Create evaluation reports that drive program decision-making with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist the Center Director with external evaluation projects, as necessary.
Oversee all aspects of the National Healthy Monday Program, including program strategic planning; supervising students and staff in managing, promoting, and developing new Healthy Monday program initiatives.
Direct decision-making in maintaining and building new Healthy Monday partnerships with corporations, non-profits, and universities; delivering Healthy Monday presentations at community events, conferences, and classes. This position is also responsible for monitoring and reporting Healthy Monday activities to the Lerner Center Director, Lerner Chair, and funders.
Develop, update, and teach the Center's DeStress for Success undergraduate course and develop new health promotion and health communications courses for SU students and external audiences.
Lead and collaborate on the development of health promotion programming that aligns with the Center's mission.
Manage and supervise staff and students regarding all aspects of Healthy Monday digital communications, including the development and distribution of weekly e-newsletters, social media posts, and the Healthy Monday websites.
Develop and execute a yearly digital communications strategic plan that includes conducting quarterly analytic reports and using data-driven decision making to increase visibility of the Center's brands.
Act as the primary liaison between the Lerner Center and funders regarding Healthy Monday digital products.
