Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Graduate Academic Services Center (GASC) supports the College of Education's mission to recruit, retain, and empower graduate students across various online and face-to-face programs. Reporting to the Director of Assessment and Graduate Academic Services, this position plays a vital role in advising, recruitment, retention, progression, and graduation initiatives. The Assistant Director will also contribute to operational efficiency and initiatives that support graduate programs and enhance student success, ensuring alignment with the College's strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and assist in graduate student advising across multiple graduate programs, ensuring quality support and adherence to advising standards
Supervise GASC advisors and/or graduate assistants - Support College recruitment efforts by organizing and participating in on- campus, off-campus, and virtual events
- Assist with strategic print and social media marketing of College graduate programs as liaison with University Communications and Marketing and College Associate Dean
- Enhance retention and progression through initiatives that improve graduate student 'time to degree' outcomes
- Analyze enrollment data and provide reports to inform graduate recruitment and retention strategies
- Support state and national accreditation efforts related to graduate education
- Assist the director in liaising with university and college departments to review and align policies and procedures
- Communicate with prospective graduate students and graduate program coordinators to support application completion and enrollment, including administrative processes, interviews, and paperwork
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Master's Degree
Required Experience
- Three (3) or more years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, such as higher education administration/educational leadership, counseling, teaching, or a relevant discipline
Preferred Experience
- Three (3) years of analyzing enrollment, retention, and progression data to inform strategic planning and decision-making Experience with Banner and Slate
Proposed Salary
$60,000 - $63,000
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
