Director of Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Program

Primary Purpose of Position:
The Director of Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Program will work with the Associate Dean of Technology and Innovation and the Center's staff to develop a data privacy and cybersecurity educational program designed to equip our law students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of data protection and cybersecurity law. The Director of Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Program will work with the Associate Dean to develop an innovative curriculum that includes both theoretical and practical components, enabling students to understand and navigate the complex landscape of digital privacy and security. The Director will also be instrumental in forging strong industry connections, facilitating internships, and enhancing job placement opportunities for our graduates.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school 5+ years of professional experience Prior administrative experience Demonstrated expertise in data privacy or cybersecurity law Prior teaching experience at the law school level, with a commitment to excellence in instruction and student mentorship.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and familiarity with and understanding of emerging technologies in the law practice area. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to meet deadlines, and work well in a collaborative environment to achieve common goals. The candidate will be able to develop productive working relationships and work effectively as a team member as well as independently.
