Job Description:
The Assistant Director International Programs oversees a complex international student services operation. This work includes guiding incoming and current students, coordinating efforts with third-party partners, liaising with campus administrators, and running daily office operations. The position plays a key leadership role in International Programs, a unit within the College of Professional Studies with a portfolio of pathway and pre-degree training programs.Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director provides input into strategic decisions affecting planning, policies, practices, and operations for the International Programs office.

Responsibilities:
- International Year One (iY-1) program management.
- Serve as the primary administrative POC for the management of iY-1.
- Set up and lead weekly meeting with internal stakeholders and third-party partner organization to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
- Oversee admissions and payment processes for incoming students.
- Communicate with students and partners about course logistics, program requirements, student visas, and student progress.
- Work with MC Admissions Office and CPS Registrar/Bursar on streamlining processes, messaging, ensuring compliance, and troubleshooting.
- Manage budgets for all International Programs, including in-person semester-based and short-term programs, iY-1, and sponsored programs.
- Reconcile JPMC credit card statements.
- Monitor and process invoices for third-party partners.
- Maintain student records and files for current and past students using enterprise software and SEVIS systems.
- Analyze data and patterns regarding inquiries, admission and enrollment numbers and student retention; generate reports as necessary.
- Manage correspondence with campus and external units.
- Oversee the updating of International Programs websites and social media accounts.
- Coordinate with Communications team for necessary changes.
- Work with Director to use shifting marketing and enrollment trends to align with departmental offerings and application procedures.
- Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) working with the US Government SEVIS system to generate I-20s for visa issuance.
- Must be cognizant of US immigration rules & regulations in particular those affecting F-1 and J-1 visa holders. (Includes verification of documents, financials, personal statements, passport copies, payment info and processing for applicants and dependents).
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations.
