What We're Looking For
The Diana R. Garland School of Social Work's mission at Baylor University is to prepare social workers for worldwide service and leadership. Under the supervision of the Director of Enrollment and Alumni Services, the Assistant Director of Marketing Strategy will be responsible for enrollment marketing, content creation, project management, social media management, and support recruitment, events, alumni, and career services initiatives for the School of Social Work. This includes, but is not limited to, building marketing funnels, writing email campaigns, recruiting prospective students, and creating content through videography, photography, and design. The Assistant Director of Marketing Strategy must be able to creatively, collaboratively, and independently work towards team and individual goals.
A bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A master's degree and five years of experience are preferred.
Additional education or experience will be considered in lieu of one another.
Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
- Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive enrollment marketing strategies, including social media management, email communication, resource development, and visual media creation.
- Build marketing funnels, write content with enthusiastic messaging tailored to different program segments throughout the enrollment cycle.
- Analyze and synthesize data analytics to inform marketing research, drive data-driven decision-making, and support strategic planning.
- Maintain and optimize various communication channels, including the GSSW Website, Slate, Emma, Drupal, HTML, YouTube, Microsoft, and multiple social media platforms.
- Manage an enrollment marketing team of staff, content creators, and ambassadors.
- Create and manage visual media content, including photography, videography, website content, social media posts, podcasts, lecture recordings, resource guides, external mailings, and design materials with various tools including Adobe, Canva, Riverside, Headliner, Red Circle, and more.
- Ensure consistent brand awareness, adherence to guidelines, and proper implementation across all platforms.
- Recruit, coordinate, and manage a team of content creators, including students, staff, faculty, employees, partners, and agencies, for planning, production, and post-production of various strategic marketing initiatives.
- Maintain a comprehensive project management and ticketing system to support storyboarding, project execution, campaign management, content calendars, scheduling, and updates.
- Build and maintain positive partnerships & relationships with alumni, students, staff, faculty, partners, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Grow and manage various social media platforms to increase GSSW's social media engagement and presence including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, X, Pinterest, and more.
- Build & cultivate community engagement on social media through creating, scheduling, curating, posting, liking, commenting, responding, sharing, and more.
- Train and develop a culture of brand ambassadors for enrollment management, student engagement, & alumni engagement.
- Engage community through innovative marketing strategies by monitoring engagement, reviewing analytics, researching emerging trends, and managing a social media calendar.
- Promote and support GSSW at local, regional and national recruitment events.
- Lead, organize, and support various initiatives for BSW and MSW programs as a part of the Enrollment, Career, and Alumni Services team.
- Assist in the planning and execution of GSSW events, alumni gatherings, and campus activities, ensuring alignment with marketing & communication.
- Assist the director to establish and enforce strategies, projects, budgets, timelines, and metrics.
- Assist the Director of Enrollment and Alumni Services and Director of Marketing with projects and initiatives by completing assigned tasks.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
- Ability to comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
